Would it be okay to have just a banana and a plum for breakfast for a 14 year old girl?

I'm 93 pounds, 14 years old, and exactly five feet tall.

It's better than skipping breakfast completely, but I wouldn't let my kids eat that way. Too much sugar will give you a "crash" mid-morning.

I'd suggest one piece of fruit and add something with some protein, my son microwaves canned soup most mornings and my daughter drinks a protein shake or eats non-fat yogurt. Different personalities. He takes a few minutes to eat before we leave, she takes her breakfast in the car.

On the weekend or holidays I make breakfast.

Aloha
Reply:thats fine if you are eating a healthy dinner and lunch..
Reply:You can have a boiled egg also. I fry mine in1/2 tsp oil. Egg is low cal and has protein and is delicious too. I make an omellette also low fat.

A bananna and plum sounds good too.
Reply:Well, you certainly don't need to be watching your weight. A banana and a plum sounds quite nutritious to me, but I think you should add some sort of cereal, or a piece of dry lite wheat toast.
Reply:yeah, that is a fine breakfast. its sufficient. however, it won't fill you up very long... and its probably better to have some protien and fiber as well..

i was reading on how a bikini model stays as thin as she does, and she made a fruit smoothie, or ate fruit, and toasted 1 slice of whole wheat bread. (look for one w/ less than 100 calories a slice) and then drizzled a tsp of extra virgin olive oil on the toast. the olive oil DOES have some fat, but its good fat. and between the whole grains and the good fat, it will fill you up for a long time.

keep in mind that what you eat in the morning you have all day to work off, vs something you eat at nine o clock at night.. there is actually a fad diet right now where you eat dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner. but the fruit IS enough, its not like you are starving yourself, and the fruit will kick start your metabolism. much better to eat breakfast than to skip it.
Reply:eat more ,weight less ,check out these tips what to eat - http://dietwithresults.blogspot.com
Reply:it sounds to me as though you could actually be underweight... try eating some sort of whole wheat, rice, or oat in the morning with your fruit... things like toast, kashi, or quick oats. you will get more energy and have a better balanced diet.
Reply:I DON'T SEE WHY NOT!
