There is a tall grassy plant with a feathery plum at the top in coastal S. Carolina. What is it called?
Cattails or pampas?
Reply:It sounds like Pampas Grass. It is really pretty, many people around here have a section in their yards filled with it.
Reply:It is Pampas grass - if you buy it and plant it - it will not have that pretty plume for several years - I planted ours 3 years ago, and I'm still waiting - it is considered invasive in some parts of the country, so you may want to look in to that in your area.
