I have a dark green sofa; what should I paint my wall? It's between plum, burgundy, or taupe/tan. Thoughts?

I would suggest the taupe/tan personally. The dark sofa combined with dark plum or burgandy walls would be a bit too much in my opinion. It would be much easier to have a neutral wall coloring, this way you can mix in a variety of colors %26amp; patterns in your furniture %26amp; still have it all match.

You should pick the color that is timeless. Make sure that you choose the color you won't get tired of. Personally I would

with a neutral color (beige) and if you want to bring the dark plum or burgundy in your room use textiles and accents.
Reply:I would go for plum if you want something really dramatic. If you want something more natural and relaxed then I would go with the tan/taupe color.
Reply:I would go for the taupe/tan color. I have used it throughout my home and it is so versatile yet is warm and inviting and would wear better than a plum or burgundy. Go with the taupe/tan and the green sofa, and bring in the other colors in accents such a pillows and such.

Try a shade such as potato skin:

Reply:Taupe/Tan...my choice...since you don't say what type of flooring you have, carpet, tile, vinyl...safest would ber taupe/tan.
Reply:I would do a taupe, like "doeskin" by sherwin williams:

Reply:go with the taupe and then incorporate the plum and burgundy colors in with throws and pillows. Mix different patterns and textures within the same color family.
