A Recipe for "Plum Impossible Pie" w/ Bisquick?
Sorry Marie, I had no luck with an exact recipe, but I'm pretty sure if you follow say, the cherry impossible pie recipe and sub the plums and season to taste you will be fine. If you wanted something a little different, try this recipe

Fresh Plum Cobbler

A fresh take on a home-style favorite!

3/4 cup sugar

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

4 cups sliced fresh unpeeled plums

1 teaspoon lemon juice

3 tablespoons shortening

1 cup Gold Medal? all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

Whipping (heavy) cream, if desired

1. Heat oven to 400oF.

2. Mix 3/4 cup sugar, the cornstarch and cinnamon in 2-quart saucepan. Stir in plums and lemon juice. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole; keep plum mixture hot in oven.

3. Cut shortening into flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, the baking powder and salt in medium bowl, using pastry blender or crisscrossing 2 knives, until particles are size of fine crumbs. Mix in milk until mixture forms soft dough. Drop by 6 spoonfuls onto hot plum mixture.

4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with whipping cream.

Reply:I found this recipe in my Mother in laws card file from many many years ago. It doesn't exactly fit what your asking for but it might work some other time.

PLUM CAKE

1 3/4 c. Bisquick

2 tbsp. granulated sugar

2 tbsp. Wesson oil

1 egg

3/4 c. milk or enough to make a smooth batter

Mix all ingredients together and put into a well-greased 9x13 inch glass pan.

Wash and pit prune plums, approximately 25, into quarters to place into batter. Add a little sugar, salt and cinnamon to bring out flavor of fruit. Dot pieces of butter over top of fruit. Cover and bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees, take off cover and finish baking at 375 degrees until brown. Sprinkle a little sugar over cake when done.
