What is another series I would enjoy reading like the Stephanie Plum novels?

I was turned on to the Stephanie Plum novels and really enjoy reading them because of their humor. Can anyone recommend another author to read or another series to read that I would enjoy. I prefer the mystery AND humor.

What is another series I would enjoy reading like the Stephanie Plum novels?
I LOVE the Stephanie Plum series. They are a blast. I like to read a 'heavy' book, and then a Evanavich book. The Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella are very entertaining. I also have read some of the series by Dianne Mott Davidson about a caterer who gets into situations. Names of these books include "Killer Pancake", "Cereal Murders" etc. They also have recipes included.
Reply:I understand Carl Hiassen is hilarious and his books fun reads. I haven't read one yet myself, but did find one the other day when I was out scouting. That first link there is to one of his books. This one doesn't have the best reviews (some harsh critics he seems to have) but I have heard from others he has some good stuff.

Have you tried the Psychic Eye series by Victoria Laurie? The second link is to one of them. I'm thinking there may be some humor involved with this protagonist. This is one that when I get a copy, I list it and it sells quickly.

The last link is some similar books, and a few other authors that might be good are: Shirley Damsgaard, Madelyn Alt and India Ink. These are more of the "cozy mystery" genre and seem to have the humorous slant you are interested in. I love the names of these books!
Reply:Well I fell into the Stephanie Plum books too, but after I first read stories by Jennifer Cruisie. Her books tend to have a bit of mystery as well as flat out humor. Also there are other Janet Evanovich books that follow the mystery/humor fold, such as Metro Girl and Motor Mouth. Also her first novels such as Rocky Road to Romance are now available in paperback.
Reply:J.A. Konrath's Jack Daniels series

Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series
Reply:I really liked the Plum series myself. I would recommend reading some novels by Jennifer Crusie or by Harlan Coben. They both put a lot of humor and wit into their novels.
Reply:Try the "Bubbles" series by Sarah Strohmeyer, the books include "Bubbles Unbound", "Bubbles Ablaze", "Bubbles In Trouble" and a couple of others. They're a lot of fun.
