Only tomato sauce

Are whole cherry or plum tomatoes good with spaghetti or should only tomato sauce be used?
hi there, you can use tomato paste, tomato purey, fresh tomatoes, tinned tomatoes, any sort of tomatoes. and theyre all good.
Reply:i would put both in because if you have just plain spaghetti with cherry or plum tomatoes, all you'll taste is tomato juice and flavourless spaghetti however if you put only tomato sauce with the spaghetti it would taste ok because tomato sauce has alot of flavour though in my opinion i would also add cherry or plum tomatos in just to have something else to chew on.

so there you go, either tomato sauce or tomato sauce with added cherry or plum tomatos.

that's what i think anyways, good luck!
Reply:chopped tomatoes are best but you can also get jars of bolongnaise sauce which is better than just tomatoes
Reply:only tomato sauce, i think it would be rather disgusting with cherrys, the tastes wouldn't match at all
Reply:If you want to cook the pasta and toss it with cherry tomatoes and lightly blanched vegetables -- like broccoli, peas, fresh basil and maybe a little olive oil and romano cheese, it would make a nice, light supper. That is the only way I've ever had cherry tomatoes in pasta. I like it, though, because the fresh taste of the tomato really comes through.

Good luck!
