How can I stop my plum tree from bearing fruit?

Wow - you turn down free fruit?

Okay. Well, there is a way to do that. There is a product called "Florel"...you have to spray it on when the flowers open. It keeps them from being pollinated.

Harsh as it sounds cutting it down is probably the only way to keep it from bearing fruit.

If you want the flowers but do not want the mess of fruit in the yard you might consider replacing the plum tree with a magnolia or other flowering tree.
Reply:Cut it down.
