Is there a spray available that you can use so plum trees don't bear fruit?

If you want plum trees without the fruit, replace the tree you have with a flowering plum. There's a nice one with dark red foliage and pink flowers. In the spring, the flowers are in bloom just as the leaves are coming out, they are very pretty and grow quite fast, at least here in Western Washington. I think it's called thunderhead or thundercloud, something like that.

cut the flower buds...then they wont bear fruit, you can also check with local tree nursery to find a more long term solution...but if you are not happy with the plant sell it to some one...and plant something else (there are often plants that look similar to fruit bearing plants with out the hassle.
Reply:Yes there is a spray, but it will cause your children to be deformed.
