Because of Alpha Particles Reflecting Backwards, how does it disprove the Plum Pudding model?
The back scattering of (positive) alpha particles showed even more than that electrons were on the outside; it showed that a CONCENTRATED positive charge was on the inside.
Reply:It proved that the electrons were on the outside. Since the electron is a negative charge, and the Alpha particle is a positive charge, the Alpha particles were scattered in many directions, including backwards.
