Need to make a plum sauce......?

i am trying to make a plum sauce with plums, sugar, water, wine. Do i have the right ingredients and will it be light enough to serve over roasted pork cutlets (thick ones)?

It's been awhile since I've made plum sauce....but seems like I put in a little cornstarch at the end to get the perfect consistency. I also put in fresh ginger - yum.

I buy store bought sauce now, and add to it whatever I need.
