What is a substitute for sherry that has no alcohol?

I am making Plum Pudding and the raisens have to "plump" overnight in Sherry, but I cannot use alcohol.

What is a substitute for sherry that has no alcohol?
Non-alcoholic cherry wine, but in its absence cherry juice... cran-cherry or grape-cherry would probably be fine too if that's all you can find.
Reply:Hi, if you really don't want to use alcohol at all, you can use fruit juice. If the recipe calls for sweet sherry, apple juice could work quite well. If it calls for dry sherry, you could try adding grapefruit juice to temper the sweetness of the apple juice.

Here is a great alcohol substitution page I found
