Plum Tree Help?
i have a plum tree they are very low matnence and yes they bloom white little flowers just water it every so offten and it should be fine
Reply:Fruit bearing trees bloom every spring. The blooms are what turn into the fruit if they don't get frosted and killed and are pollinated by bees and other pollinators. There is a whole ritual of carrying for fruit trees, which entails pruning and spraying. You can get a pamphlet from your USDA county agent. How do you know it's a plum tree.
Reply:Your plum tree will be bearing fruit in the fall, about late August or September. There really isn't much you need to do between now and then except keep the ground under the tree watered when it gets dry. The tree blooms in the spring with beautiful white or light pink blossoms. You are probably going to have more plums than you are going to want to eat.
Reply:Well you have to wait until they are purple just like plumbs should be you can't take them down when they are green because they aren't ripe yet they usually get ripe in the middle of summer!!!
Reply:yes they get a beauiful flower in spring and a cherry plum with seeds if you can keep the birds away there not bad I just water mine.its been here when we moved in 7 yrs ago.
Reply:It sounds like you have immature plums on your tree. Water and fertilize it well. Prune it when you have picked all the fruit.
Reply:ENJOY EATING !! Can ,freeze, give to friends ,neighbors what you can't eat..Ask the neighbors if the plums that ARE COMING ,, GOOD TO EAT
