Can you get a stain out once it is set in a fabric?

Is there any way to remove a stain once it has been set in the fabric?

I got plum juice on one of my good shirts and I thought that cold water was only used on blood stains so I got a sponge with hot water and made matters even worse. Is there anyway to get the stain out since I have already set it in the fabric?

well if its a white shirt you can use bleach if its anything else use oxy clean i use it always and it alwys works
Reply:The dry cleaners. You may try hair spray..
Reply:* Any fruit stain can be easily removed by using a dilute solution of chlorine bleach (~1/2 to 1%).

Note:- use Oxygen bleach instead of chlorine for colored garment.

* Spotting stains out:-

- On a shirt try dabbing bleach soln on, then soak up using a dry towel.

- Repeat until stain completely disappears.

- Wash as normal then rinse with warm water.

Good Luck!!
Reply:Plum Juice is a vegetable colour,if it is cotton it gets set,if it is any man made fiber fabric it will go. Give it to your washing shop or garment cleaners they will remove any stain.
Reply:I would try a a red stain remover made for carpet. Rug Dr. has a good one. If that doesn't work try a Biz boil.Use a large pot on the stove with about 3/4 cup of Biz in it. Bring water to a boil add shirt and boil for about 45 min to an hour. Let water cool then launder shirt. This will get out even set in ink.
Reply:Anything with oxy in the name. I got this stain removal spray for my carpet from Woolite and I used it on a couple of shirts and it works like magic.

I sprayed it on the scrubbed on both sides in a circular motion with a hard brissled toothbrush..rinsed with what ever temperature the garment advises to wash it in and the stains disappeared in seconds...best $3.99 I've ever spent in my life. Which reminds me I'm almost out!
Reply:Bleach, Oxy-Clean
Reply:TRY SHOUT ADVANCED OR EVEN OXY CLEAN

MY SON WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT LAUNDRY SAID TRY LEMON JUICE MIXXED WITH OXY CLEAN COLD
Reply:My last resort is to use a laundry soap bar. it looks like a big bar of soap. but you get it buy the laundry soap. i use a nail brush %26amp; softly rub the stain W/the soap. It works for me. good luck
Reply:Whenever heat is applied to the fabric there is really no way of removing the stain.
