What types of food would you put with speciality sausages?

Our local farmers market butchers have some wonderful homemade speciality sausages but I'm at a loss what kind of vegs or type of foods to put with them as they are too good to just put with chips.

I've bought the following

Lamb and mint

Chicken, lemon and herb

Pork, cider and apple

Duck and plum.

Any ideas would be great, thanks

What types of food would you put with speciality sausages?
With lamb and mint I'd have cous cous.

With chicken, lemon and herb I'd have Crushed New potatos, shredded savoy cabbage and glazed carrots.

With pork, cider and apple, mash, roasted onions and peppers.

With duck and plum a bit of a stir fry with 5 spices powder.
Reply:The pork/cider and apple I would do sauerkraut and a spatzle

Lamb and mint I would do baby peas and little red potatoes.

Chicken/lemon,herb I would do a lemon rice and asparagus

Duck and plum I would do a stuffing (with cranberries added to counteract the sweetness of the plum) and roasted butternut squash or roasted sweet potatoes
Reply:You can`t go wrong with plain mash potatoes with any sausage, really tasty sausage don`t need special veg to give the meal more flavour.
Reply:Those are the sausages that I love to BBQ ... Sometimes I'll grill veggies (zucchini or red/green bell peppers) to go with them...rice dishes or couscous or tabboleuh... a green salad ... and always a fruit salad or cut up fruit...
Reply:i would have the sossies with cheese %26amp; onion creamy mashed potatoes and an onion gravy poured over the top...

maybe some brocolli and/or garden peas on the side and some crusty bread%26amp;butter..
Reply:Mash potato's as they won't over power the sausages. And any veg as long as it dosn't have a strong taste, I some times do yorkshire puddings with sausages.
Reply:make anice mucshroom rice, or even a simple pasta with a sauce thats not to overpowering, and you cant go wrong with some specialty cheeses and some plain crackers
Reply:I would keep it simple and have with mashed potatos and some organic veg.

That's exactly what I've had for dinner tonight.
Reply:Definately mashed potatoes with garlic in it and some crumbed mushrooms.
Reply:some mash and any veg, peas, carrots, broccoli, green beans etc! Enjoy! they sound lovely can I come to yours for tea?
Reply:how about sweet mashed potato with garlic. Some nice carrots and brocoli.
Reply:baked potato in there jackets and cabbage
Reply:keep it simple with bangers and mash ;)
