If you like Janet Evanovitch's Stephanie Plum novels, what other authors do you like...authors who are as fun?

Try Charlaine Harris. She's a hoot. Her mysteries didn't do well. Her Sookie Stackhouse novels are so popular that I heard they are going to produce a Sookie Stackhouse series on TV. But you may be put off by the titles if you're not into paranormal fun. Titles: Dead until Dark / Living Dead in Dallas . I can't think of others now but they all have "Dead" in the title.



With Evanovich I find myself rolling around with laughter so much it's hard to hold the book still enough to read. With Harris I am well into Sookie's situation before it dawns on me that this is a hilariously funny happening.

Jim Butcher's Harry Dredson series is a lot of fun, but it's paranormal also - he's a wizard. But the series is really funny, and he also solves crimes.
