I have a plum tree, purple, It has ash like powder on its leaves, Does anyone know what this is n how t solve?

Does sound like powdery mildew, but as it's a plum, it could be silver leaf.

Reply:Hi

This sounds like Powdery mildew it affects all types of fruit trees. It covers leaves and shoots with dusty white powder it will need chemical treatment check with your nearest garden centre for a suitable one.(My old gardening book says benomyl or thiophanate-methyl but these may not be available now).Good luck I remember having this when I had plum trees at a previous garden of mine.
Reply:Powdery mildew's spores cannot germinate in the presence of moisture. Overhead watering and pruning out infected areas is the first action necessary. If the problem persists sulfur is the most effective treatment.
Reply:its a fugist go to the store and get a spray for fruit trees
