I got a seed from a plum i wanted to plant how do i do that

Put the pit in a container of potting soil. Wait -- it might not germinate for months, if at all.



Once it is 4 - 6 inches tall plant it outside and wait for 5 years. You might get some fruit, if you are lucky.

They need a certain time of chilling before they germinate

best bet is to put them in soil during the winter and hopefully they'll sprout by the spring

Reply:plums grow on trees not plants.

i heard some time ago (you may want to check this out) that fruit trees don't usually produce till they're about 8 years old.

check that out if you can.
