What does it taste like? And also----if you consumed it (or dietary supplements of it) for an extended period of time-----did you notice any health benefits?
Has anyone ever tried Umeboshi (japanese pickled plum)?
They are really salty and really sour. Cannot say I noticed a health benefit but I was not looking for one either. They are really common and popular. I had them at lunch almost every day when I lived there.
Reply:They taste very salty, and are extremely sour due to high citric acid content.
Umeboshi acts as a preservative for rice.
And the Japanese use it as a remedie for colds and flus together with rice congee which is a type of rice porridge.
I can't eat them because I am allergic to plums in general.
Perfect semi formal makeup
