I am from Seattle, Wash. and I use to buy Saladitos, (salted plums) from Pike Place Market. I can not find any here in the Buffalo, Ny. area. Does ANYONE know where I can find these? ANY info would help. Thanks
Does anyone know where I can buy "Saladitos" (a hispanic foods) in the Buffalo,Ny area? (they are salted plum
I don’t understand what is so hard about using a search engine? I Googled “Saladitos” and it came back with 36,900 results or hits. There are many places to buy it online and I personally found about 6 of them. I know that you asked: “Does anyone know where I can buy "Saladitos" (a Hispanic foods) in the Buffalo, Ny area?” Then you said that you couldn’t find any in your area.
Well, I think you answered your own question. If you looked and couldn’t find them, then they probably aren’t to be found in your neck of the woods (area.) I also like them but I always found them in area’s where there was a strong Hispanic influence. I don’t think I could find them in my area without going to a Mexican neighborhood or Mexican grocery store. You might try a Mexican market in your area if you can find one. I wasn’t able to find a Mexican market or grocery store in the Buffalo New York area using the Internet and Mapquest, but it doesn’t that there aren’t any.
I found prices for a 1.25 ounce package of saladitos for $1.25. SO that’s $16.00 per pound. I found another web site that sells an entire pound for only $8.00 ($7.95) Minimum shipping and handling is $6.25 bringing the total for shipping and handling and saladitos to $14.20 per pound including shipping. Many times Internet orders aren’t taxed. It would be a good deal and saladitos will last a long time since they are dehydrated and salted which also helps preserve them. I would recommend placing them in a mason jar inside of the refrigerator will they will easy last a year. Good luck. Oh, I’ll include the search information and the web site. Cheers! Or maybe I should say
Bon appetite.

Reply:I guess The Anchor Bar would be out of the question. Doesn't TOPS have an ethnic aisle yet? If not have you tried to look online?
