I would like help doing a plum pie like the one served in nhs hospital, can anyone help?

Or you could make your own. This is very simple and you may find that doing it your own way and playing around you find it is much nicer as it will be made to your taste.

Pastry: 8oz plain flour

4oz butter/marg/lard

Water: Use 2 teaspoons for every ounze flour(you may not need this much so add gradually)

Make crumbs with the butter and flour by rubbing between your fingers then when they are fine crumbs add the water and mix together with a knife, until dough is stuck together(but not sticky, if it does get sticky add more flour)

Roll 2/3 of the dough and line your pie dish.

Plums: I would slice some plums and line the pastry. Then i would use the rest to stew with sugar until they are soft but not complete mush. Add the stewed plums to the pie and roll out the lid of pastry.

Gas mark 6 for around 25 min or until golden. Bobs your uncle
