What made Jack Horner a good boy just because he pulled out a plum?

Little Jack Horner sat in the corner

Eating his Christmas pie:

He stuck in his thumb, and pulled out a plum

And said, “What a good boy am I!”

The kid is a troublemaker, and is doing time out in the corner. He is bad enough to get a hold of the Christmas dessert and sticks his thumb in the pie and pulling out the plum. Instead of giving his mom the glory for baking such a delcious plum in the pie, he attributes the goodness of the plum to him and undeservedly grabs on to glory that doesn’t belong to him.

What made Jack Horner a good boy just because he pulled out a plum?
Have you ever tried to get a kid to eat healthy?
Reply:cause he got his thumb unstuck from the pie at least....
Reply:The song about Jack Horner was about a politician who got a " plum" appointment in Parliament in Britain. He was such a good " party boy" that he always voted with his party and was rewarded handsomely with a Lordship.
Reply:During the years surrounding the renaissance it was a common practice for gifts to be given secretly under certain circumstances. Acroding to the origin of the legend of Jack Horner, he was delivering such a gift, an estate along with title and authority to go along with it, the paperwork for which had been hidden within a pie. And as it was to be secret, no name was upon the parchment. On his way to deliver it, Horner dug into the pie, found the document and claimed it for his own. He lived out the rest of his life with this title and lands, and was miserable as he was always afraid that the rightful recipient would come and take it from him.
Reply:I'm not a fig plucker or a fig plucker's son, but I'll pluck figs 'till the fig plucker comes.

Not extremely relevant, but try saying it really fast.
Reply:Probably misses his old glasses
