I'm thinking about reading this series. Can anyone tell me more about them . if you read them are theygood? I have read some things about the books but I want answer from ppl who have actually read and enjoyed them.
Stephanie Plum Series?
I have read this series many times. The story goes that an out of work lingerie buyer blackmails her bail-bondsman cousin into giving her a job as a bounty hunter. Stephanie has several cases in every book, usually with one big case that drives the plot. In book two or three Stephanie partners up with Lula, one of the most memorable sidekicks in literature. In the meantime Steph has romantic issues with two very hot men - Morelli, who she dates, and Ranger, who she works with.
I love these books (especially 3 onwards, the first two don't grab me as much), they're literally laugh out loud funny, even on the tenth re-read. Steph's family are hilarious and... Well, there's loads of good stuff to say, just give them a go.
Edit: Janet Evanovich has posted the first couple of chapters for every book on her website - you could try them there before you buy/borrow them http://www.evanovich.com/plum_luckysplas...
Reply:Yes definitely a very entertaining series... Report It
Reply:It would be hard at this point to collect them all, one way is to get the whole series used on ebay. My sister in law loves this series, so I bought the whole thing from 1 to 12(when there were only 12) on there.
I read one, and wasn't interested enough to read another. To me, it was too far fetched for this woman to be a private investigator or whatever she was. I can't even remember. It was ok, not really standing out in any way for me.
Reply:Love this series, although I read book number two first. I read book number one after that, and found that it had a slightly more graphic tone than the rest of the series. She must've toned them down for the remaining books.
Reply:Stephenin Plum has become a bounty hunter out of necessity. Occasionally, she gets lucky, but she has a lot of bad luck, especially with her cars. She even borrows a car from Morelli and it gets blown up! She's still living in the old neighborhood in New Jersey and her family, in particular, her grandmother who sometimes goes with her on cases, is hilarious. I think you will love the series.
Reply:The others have pretty much summed it up!!
I definitely recommend it - one of my fave series at the moment. Very funny, fast-paced action and romance that will keep you hooked!!
Enjoy!!!
Reply:I read one %26amp; was hooked... I got lucky, a friend had the whole series. You can read them out of order, each has it's own story, but better to read them in order. I can't wait for the next one to come out..
