Pruning plum trees?

My plum tree is looking bad since my mom had it trimmed have a picture of it any answers

Pruning plum trees?
Pruning is best done in the fall when the tree is not in a growing stage. If she did it now in the spring when it is the trees big growth stage it might have shocked it. Give it some time. However, if I saw a picture which you said you had it would be easier to see if it were pruned right or not. Either way gve it some time. My ficus was pruned back hard and it took about four months till it started looking good again.
Reply:She might've done it wrong, but if you want to prune it, then pull off only the dead leaves, and dead branches. Pull off all little plums. That helps the bigger ones get large and juicy.
