What pH and what toughness-(sandy,clay,loam,sandy-loam...... of soil are need for VENGERKA PLUM-TREES?
Need help about soil for VENGERKA PLUM-Tree?
The varieties Vengerka Donezkaja rannjaja and Vengerka Jubilejnaja Khramova are cultivated in the Institute for Agriculture and Viticulture of Bavaria.
The gardener told me, they hate water-logging, therefore be careful with the clay content.
They grow best in not too heavy, humous, water- and air-permeable soil, best pH about 6, if more than 7 a fertilizer with pH about 6-6,5 - as taken for semi acid-loving plants - should be used.
As root stock St.Julien A, Ishtara are the best varieties to graft on.
And they asked, from where you get the trees.
Reply:The plum you are asking about is a garden plum (Prunus domestica) grafted cultivar.
