My plum seed is root-y?

I have a question about a plum seed,

my seed seems to have all these roots right from the fruit,

like i cut it freshly open and the core was rooty, is that root so you can start growing it or the fruit which is incredibly hard to pull out...

so....

My plum seed is root-y?
I'm going to assume this is indeed a root and not some very strange fungus/rot.



Just plant the fruit and all the silliness inside into the ground about two times the width of the seed.......so....what about 2 inches deep?......and see what happens.
