The leaves on my plum shrivel and drop off every year why?

Yes, I agree, this is a fungal problem and will re-occur every year as the spores survive the winter in bark cracks etc. You need to an annual spray to keep it under control. If you replace the tree, clean the area thoroughly of old leaves n twigs etc. before putting the new tree in.

The leaves on my plum shrivel and drop off every year why?
Usually a copper based compound. But check the shelves of your local gdn center for anything new. Report It
Reply:It is called Blyte, and so many trees get it. And the leaves are supposed to drop off every season.
Reply:Might be peach leaf curl A fungus

Clean up all the leaves, then if your organic, spread some food grade corn meal
Reply:Because you have a blight ... you need to spray the whole tree with lime / copper sulphate
Reply:You don't prune them properly.
